I decided early in my teen years I wanted to work in fashion. I later had the opportunity to attend Parsons school of design. While working on my fashion degree I fell in love with illustration and knew that If I could combine those two, I would be in heaven. I created Roxy Marj back in 2003 where I sold clothes and accessories I made, online and in boutiques. However I took a hiatus from all that once I entered college and it wasn't until recently that I started things back up again. I strive to create products that are unique, not driven by trends and that have an heirloom aesthetic to them. I would like to eventually be able to share my products with a wider audience and continue to add diversity to the brand by introducing a line of textiles and bedding of my prints and limited editions of children's clothing. I am obsessed with producing a product from start to finish that is impeccable in quality, has unique designs/illustrations, and I plan on doing that with my business even if it takes me 20 years to get noticed. Some people label me a perfectionist, but I like to think of myself as a very happy hard worker who doesn't cut corners, and who feels very fortunate to be blessed with a creative mind.
